Kongsberg Digital founded

Kongsberg Digital is founded as a subsidiary of KONGSBERG, consolidating oil and gas technologies from Kongsberg Maritime and ongoing digital initiatives focused on heavy-industry digitalisation.

Beta launch of Digital Twin & Maritime product

Digital Twin technology and Maritime related products are launched in beta, marking the company’s early foray into digital twin solutions for industrial assets.

Shell Global EFA (Enterprise Framework Agreement)

Signed an Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) with Shell to digitalise Shell’s global assets using digital twin technology. Acquisition of Coach Solution, a Danish maritime software company primarily for vessel performance monitoring.

Acquisition ICB

Acquisition of ICB (Interconsult Bulgaria Ltd), a software development company with 150 employees, establishing a European development hub for AI/ML and industrial IoT.

MSC Fleet

Acquisition of Visavi, an industrial software company that specialises in visualisation and collaboration for heavy asset industries. Signed multi-year agreement with Chevron to digitalise global assets using digital twin technology. MSC fleet digitalisation agreement.

Raised 90 MUSD equity

Raised 90MM USD in equity from Shell Ventures and Idékapital. Acquired majority stake in FutureOn, a company specialising in digital twin technology for energy.

Yara Chemicals

Signed a two-year agreement with Yara International to develop digital twin technology for Yara’s factories in Herøya (Norway) and Sluiskil (Netherlands), supporting operational and carbon capture projects. Offshore Wind partnership with TGS, leveraging TGS’s geoscience expertise to support offshore wind and energy transition initiatives. Release of Kongsberg Digital’s AI-powered Asset Co-pilot, enhancing augmented decision-making within its flagship digital twin platform.

Sold Maritime product portfolio

Maritime product portfolio is merged into Kongsberg Maritime, enabling Kongsberg Digital to focus on energy and processing industries.
